Points of interest / compatibility
- Control: Interfaces compatibility
- Communication, protocole, diagnostic, digital signals: a review of signals available and their compatibility with existing CERN systems, referring to control, measurement, and diagnostics.
- safe fails signals?
- Grounding or reference potential of the electronic signals.
- Parralelisation, serialisation, any specific function is reviewed, and evaluate to see if a bonus or a malus.
- Front panel signals, display
- Review of signals being available on front panel
- Rear panel signals, display
- Review of signals being available on rear panels.
- Type of connectors being used.
- Analogue signals integrity
- Tranfer functions, noise and integrity of proposed analogue signals is checked. Some signals can be used for parrallelisation purposes like Imonitor often proposed, or even for monitoring Vmonitor, which could be given to DIM card directly if found sufficiently precise.
