Overview
This pages describes the tests which are done to ensure a commercial power source is controllable by a FGC controller, evaluating its performances.
An EDMS doc: MANUFACTURER REFERENCE CERN Controllability Evaluation is created, with 2 EDMS sub-doc:
- EDMS doc: MANUFACTURER REF CERN Single Config FGC-Controlled Evaluation with a report file.
- EDMS doc: MANUFACTURER REF CERN Parrallel Config FGC-Controlled Evaluation with a report file.
Points of interest / compatibility
- Performances of the Power Source, being driven by a FGC, as a current source
- Single or Parrallel power module configuration.
- Commerical Power Source is integrated in a standard EPC Power Converter, with the addition of a FGC controller and a DCCT measurement.
- Different sequences types (static, dynamic references) are tested, using EPC tools (spy, fgcrun+) to check the performance obtained are correct, with a great focus on the current control.
- Tests are performed with different current loop settings, and acquiring output current, on different loads (R, R+L, L), to deduce the voltage source performance and integrity.
